The conference languages will be English and Spanish, with simultaneous interpreting available for plenary sessions. Papers may be submitted in either language, although there will not be interpreting at the parallel paper sessions. The five workshops will be held in English, under the leadership of a specialist in the field on the following broad subject areas: exchange students in the university classroom; student support on exchange programmes; language issues on exchange programmes; from the multicultural to the transcultural in higher education; assessment of learning in multicultural groups.

For the workshops participants will be asked to indicate three options in order of preference. The organizers will respect first preferences as far as possible, whilst trying to accommodate all participants.
